Not to my knowledge, I've not tried the trails in the late winter or when the park has been closed. Getting caught in that area in the winter is not a good idea I know that part of this …

Not to my knowledge, I've not tried the trails in the late winter or when the park has been closed. Getting caught in that area in the winter is not a good idea I know that part of this country well. I might suggest contacting the park ranger stations on the web site or try 828-298-0398 or 800-228-7275. Hope this helps.

We are here now,June 29, 2020 and the rhododendrons are in full bloom on the Blue Ridge Parkway. They are so big and lush in some areas, the park service has cut them back from hanging over in the lanes of the rode. The colors are various shades of pink, white and orange. Well worth the drive!

Yes, June is the month when they usually peak. Its dependent on the weather each year. Check out a site called Explore Asheville, for more info.
