Providence Chief of Police Colonel Oscar L. Perez Jr. confirmed that a person of interest in the Brown University mass shooting is now in custody.
University officials decided out of "profound concern for all students, faculty and staff on our campus" after Saturday's deadly shooting.
"I have been briefed on the shooting the took place at Brown University in Rhode Island. The FBI is on the scene," President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social. "God bless the victims and the families of the victims.
