China responded to the White House’s latest tariffs move against the world’s second-largest country, lifting its rates on U.S. goods and vowing to “resolutely counterattack and fight to the end.”

The U.S. and China have escalated trade war by raising tariffs even as Trump hit a pause on tariffs for other countries.

Beijing’s retaliation came after the White House raised its tariff on Chinese goods to 125 percent, on top of an existing 20 percent tax.
