The Atlanta Braves have called up franchise career saves leader Craig Kimbrel from the minors a day after having their worst blown ninth-inning lead in more than a half-century.

So far, Kimbrel has been the only one to see game action as a result of the roster moves. Friday night, he went one inning against the San Francisco Giants. He allowed one hit, one walk, and recorded a strikeout. It marked his first appearance for the Braves since 2014.

After the Braves' bullpen blew a six-run lead in the ninth inning Thursday, the team called up veteran reliever Craig Kimbrel.
