It's pretty common knowledge that New England Patriots QB Drake Maye battled an injury to his throwing shoulder for nearly two weeks prior to the Super Bowl and may have been hindered by it. But one analyst and perhaps a contingent of fans believe that Maye and the Patriots hid the extent of it.

Sean Payton has frequently praised Bo Nix's ability to avoid sacks. Drake Maye lost more yards on sacks in the playoffs than Nix did in all of 2025.
