The Cougars were tested and trailed at halftime, but rebounded in the second half with Milos Uzan's starring effort.
Milos Uzan was the third option on the drawn-up situation, but big man JoJo Tugler’s instincts made all the difference to advance the Cougars.
The No. 4 seed Purdue Boilermakers (24-11) and the No. 1 seed Houston Cougars (32-4) will meet on Friday in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
The Boilermakers had a halftime lead but never led in the second half, rallied from down 10 to tie in the final minute, but saw their upset bid end.
The No. 1 Houston Cougars and No. 4 Purdue Boilermakers round out the Sweet 16 on Friday night at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
