U.S. Senate Republicans on Monday proposed a tax bill that would extend a clean fuel tax credit through 2031, but trim 20% of the value of the credit for biofuels made from feedstocks produced outside of the United States.
The bill — a generational transformation of Vermont’s education system — still requires a majority vote in the House.
The Ohio Senate’s version of the state budget bill would change the way Ohio students learn math. Ohio schools’ math and reading scores on state tests dropped significantly during the COVID pandemic. Unlike reading, however, the state has not been focused on improving math scores in the same way that they’ve pushed for reading improvements.
