The Kennedy Center was evacuated on Thursday after a bomb threat was reported at the venue, according to officials.

WASHINGTON — Police are working to investigate a bomb threat made at the Kennedy Center Thursday morning. D.C. Police received a 911 call reporting the threat to the Kennedy Center at 10:44 a.m. The department's Explosive Ordinance Division was requested to respond to the scene.

Park Police are at the center with canine units in response to a bomb threat. The city’s explosives division is assisting, officials said.

A spokesperson for the Kennedy Center said the building had been evacuated "due to a bomb threat targeting Shen Yun performances."
