26-year-old male snowboarder missing since Friday in Vail
A 26-year-old male snowboarder has been missing since Friday afternoon from Vail Mountain. The Vail Communication Center was alerted to the man’s disappearance at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14, according to a Facebook post from Eagle County Sheriff’s Office. The man was overdue when he was reported missing.
Crews hit third day of searching for missing Colorado snowboarder at Vail
The search for Connor Gill has been on ever since he disappeared Friday morning riding Vail Mountain. The Eagle County Sheriff's Office has been leading the search for the 26-year-old since that afternoon.
Rescue teams brave "heavy snow and strong winds" searching for missing snowboarder who vanished on Vail mountain
"The team from Vail Mountain Rescue and Vail Ski Patrol initiated their response based on the party's last known location and knowing the area commonly rode by the missing individual," says ECSO. That area is believed to be around Avanti on the front side of the mountain where Gill is commonly known to ride.
