The Weather Authority at News4JAX forecasts an increasing chance of rain across the Jacksonville area throughout Memorial Day week, with heat, humidity, and periodic showers expected.

The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team has declared a First Alert Weather Day on Saturday due to widespread rain and storms.

Heavy inland storms – mainly near/west of I-95 – will drop as much as 1-3” of rain Friday evening, while lighter showers occur east of I-95 to the beaches.

A few inland evening showers & storms Monday night will be locally heavy with muggy overnight lows in the 70s.
