Just by looking up, you’ll be able to get a glimpse of several planets shining brightly in the night sky. The six planets – Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Uranus and Neptune – will all be in a straight line.
‘Planet parade’ to light up the sky through the end of the month
It’s a phenomenon known as a “planet parade,” where the planets appear to be marching across the night sky. Stargazers will be able to see Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars with just the naked eye for the rest of this month. A telescope will be needed to spot Uranus and Neptune.
Tips for viewing the planetary parade
There is currently a celestial event otherwise known as a planetary parade. During the course of a night you can see up to six planets such as Mars, Neptune and Venus with the naked eye. Josh managed to capture the parade of planets from a spot high on the Mendips.
