The FBI Hostage Rescue Team made entry into the home around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and was able to take the suspect into custody.

A hostage situation in Providence Village that began late Monday night is stretching into Tuesday afternoon, with police negotiating for more than 15 hours with a man who claimed he was armed and holding two women hostage inside a home.

Aubrey Police Department reports that one woman was rescued from an Aubrey-area home after being held hostage by a male suspect for more than 24 hours.
