Actor and pop star Ariana Grande, who recently portrayed Glinda in "Wicked," will host " Saturday Night Live " for the show's highly anticipated Christmas episode Dec. 20. It will be the singer's third time hosting the show.
Yang, 35, will leave the sketch comedy series after the Saturday, Dec. 20, episode, according to a Deadline report. His midseason departure comes after Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow, Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim left “SNL” ahead of the season 51 premiere in October.
The final new “SNL” episode of 2025 will air on Dec. 20. “Wicked: For Good” star Ariana Grande will close the season when she hosts the show for the third time. Her return to “SNL” for the 2025 Christmas episode comes just over a year after she stopped by Studio 8H for Season 50.
