Considered the biggest night in the British film industry, the BAFTAs lit up the capital after one of the gloomiest winters in years.

Letitia Wright will present the EE Rising Star Award alongside fellow alumni and first recipient of the award, James McAvoy, on its 20th anniversary. It is the only award voted for by the British public and is presented annually to a performer who has demonstrated exceptional talent early in their career.

Stars were all smiles despite the chilly weather as they walked the red carpet at London's Royal Festival Hall, for this year's Bafta Film Awards. Nominees and guests posed for photos as they gathered for the UK film calendar's biggest night.
