After adjusting the left field dimensions at Oriole Park before the 2022 season, Baltimore will make alterations ahead of the 2025 campaign.

In 2021, the last season before the Orioles moved the left field wall back by 26 feet in some spots, and added six feet of height to a barrier affectionately termed “Walltimore,” Camden Yards was a hitter’s haven. It ranked No. 3 in Statcast’s Park Factors, with a 105 rating on a scale where 100 is neutral, and 124 – tied for second – in home runs.

The Orioles are making changes to the left-field wall at Camden Yards once again. Baltimore executive vice president and general manager Mike Elias announced Friday that the franchise will shorten dimensions in left field at Oriole Park by as much as 20 feet, 11 feet in some areas and as little as nine feet in others.

The Orioles last changed the dimensions of the left-field wall, moving it back, between the 2021 and 2022 seasons in an effort to pursue a more neutral and pitcher-friendly array at Camden Yards. At the time, Oriole Park was "extremely homer prone," as Elias put it.
