Over the six days reported, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and its partner agencies have made more than 4,500 arrests and lodged more than 3,500 detainers on immigrants they say are in

National figures reported by ICE over the past week show the agency has arrested far more immigrants per day on average than did the Biden administration. On Wednesday, for example, the agency reported a total of 1,016 arrests. That is more than three times higher than last year’s daily average.

The Trump administration ramped up goals for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to make 1,200 to 1,500 arrests per day, the Washington Post reports.
