Pittsburgh Penguins forward prospect Will Horcoff was named to the United States’ preliminary roster for the upcoming International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Junior Championship tournament.

Jake Middleton was a plus-2 in 23:16 of TOI as Canada beat Germany 5-2 to win the IIHF World Championship. Middleton finished the tournament with five points (0-5=5) and a plus-12 rating in 10 games.

The USA are on the outside looking in of the World’s top five men’s hockey countries, according to the IIHF.
