MODESTO, Calif. — A deadly crash is under investigation in Modesto. Few details surrounding the crash have been released, but a spokesperson for the Modesto Police Department confirmed the crash was fatal. It was reported in the area of East Briggsmore Avenue/Parker Ranch and Claus Road Monday evening.

At least one person was killed in a crash in Modesto on Monday evening, the Modesto Police Department said. Police said East Briggsmore Avenue was shut down between Claus Road and Parker Ranch Way at 8 p.m., and the estimated opening time is unknown.
