Animal welfare workers recovered the tigers in cages at the Pahrump home of longtime big cat handler Karl Mitchell on Wednesday.

Seven tigers were seized from a Pahrump home. Their owner said some came from Joe Exotic, the "Tiger King," and served as emotional support animals.

Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue posted on social media about the tigers seized in Pahrump. Nye County officials claimed Karl Mitchell did not have the proper permits for the seven tigers. They were seized Wednesday morning and have been taken to a wildlife rescue in Arkansas.
