Dollar General announced in its fourth quarter earnings report that it will close nearly 100 stores across the country.

The Dollar General store on Main Street in Binghamton was condemned in July and later closed for good. Now, the company is looking to close nearly 100 other locations across the country.

Dollar General stores are next on the retail chopping block. According to the company's fourth quarter earnings report released last week, Dollar General announced it's planning to close 96 Dollar General stores and 45 Popshelf stores during the first quarter of 2025.
