Heide proved pivotal in the postseason as a rebounder and recorded his first career double-double in the NCAA Tournament first round win over High Point. Heide is the fourth Boilermaker to enter the portal since the season concluded early Saturday morning. He joined Brian Waddell, Will Berg and Myles Colvin.

Heide has two years of eligibility remaining.
