Sesame Street’s upcoming 56th season — as well as 90 hours of previous episodes — will be available on Netflix later this year. New episodes will also continue to air on PBS Stations and PBS KIDS digital platforms.

Through a unique private-public partnership “Sesame Street” will be available on both Netflix and PBS beginning later this year

The deal is a much-needed shot in the arm for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit that produces “Sesame Street” and has been struggling financially.
