The City of Fort Worth will host a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 14, according to a press release from the city. The vigil will serve as an opportunity to "grieve the lives lost and show support for those who have been affected by the flooding in the Texas Hill Country," the city said.
With more rain on the way, county officials ordered everyone living in flood-prone areas near the San Saba River to evacuate. Johnson said people were being moved to the San Saba Civic Center, which has become a safe, high place for people to receive aid and shelter.
