The 119th South Wales derby is almost upon us, as Cardiff City and Swansea City prepare for a Championship showdown at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Watters was given the chance to be Cardiff's main man for the 2022/23 season, but after failing to score in all 11 of his appearances, he was loaned to Barnsley in January 2023, before making the move to Oakwell permanent the following summer.

Cardiff City could be boosted by the return of as many as three senior players for Saturday's derby against Swansea City.

The game is not being shown live on television in the UK but it was moved to the unusual kick-off time of 6pm to meet an international broadcasting request, so it will be available to watch abroad, reports the Sheffield Star. Highlights will be shown on Match of the Day which starts at 10.30pm on BBC One.
