The group of Bulgarians, who were living in the U.K., were convicted by a London jury of conducting surveillance operations across Europe on behalf of the Russian state.

Three Bulgarian nationals have been convicted by a London jury of spying for Russia. The verdicts Friday followed a trial that began in November.

Three Bulgarians were found guilty in London of spying for Russia and will be sentenced at a later date. Their spy ring, according to testimony during the trial, was equal parts KGB and Keystone Kops.
