OpenAI is preparing to launch GPT-4.1 along with a full version of its o3 reasoning model soon, according to a report from The Verge on Friday. GPT-4.1 will launch along with smaller GPT-4.1 mini and nano versions.

OpenAI is getting ready to unveil a number of new AI models, sources familiar with the company’s plans tell The Verge. Among the new AI models will be a release of what I’m expecting will be branded GPT-4.

OpenAI says it will remove GPT-4 from ChatGPT on April 30, replacing it with a better model, a changelog published on Thursday shows.
