A blood moon is coming. The entirety of the lower 48 states, the greater Americas, and some regions beyond will witness — weather permitting — a total lunar eclipse the night of March 13 and into the early morning of March 14.

If you miss this eclipse, don't worry — there will be another total lunar eclipse overnight between Sept. 7 Sept. 8, visible across Europe, Asia and parts of the Americas. Then, from March 2 to March 3, 2026, another Blood Moon will be visible from much of the world, including North America.

According to NASA, the Moon will pass into Earth's shadow and appear to turn red between March 13 and 14. Sometimes a good mistake is exactly what you need to make a movie scene work. These bloopers and errors technically shouldn't have happened - but once you watch the finished scenes, you'll be glad they did.
