Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is reopening the governor’s official residence to the public, barely a week after an alleged arson fire tore through one of its wings.

Five former Pennsylvania governors and one ex-governor's family issued a joint statement Friday condemning the violent arson.

The event with preschoolers was away from the south wing, where crews are at work stripping the fire-damaged interior.
