Over 250 lorries carrying aid entered the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to the Israeli military, three days after it began increasing the flow of supplies into the embattled Palestinian territory amid an outcry over reports of imminent famine.

Over the past few hours, 52 aid packages, containing food for the residents of both the southern and northern Gaza Strip, were airdropped.

Humanitarian aid was dropped into the Gaza Strip from the air for the second consecutive day on Monday, with some 20 pallets of food parachuted into the blockaded coastal area from Jordanian and Emirati aircraft,
