Ford said it began sending letters to affected owners this week to warn of safety risks related to potential fuel pump failures.

Ford is recalling potentially more than 850,000 of its vehicles due to possible fuel pump failures, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration .

Over 850,000 Ford vehicles, spanning 28 models from 2021-2023, are recalled due to a faulty low-pressure fuel pump. More than 850,000 Ford vehicles are affected by a recall related to issues with fuel pump pressure that could cause the affected car engines to stall.
