This D-day, thousands of our nation’s veterans descended on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to protest possible deep cuts to the VA, veterans’ services and the federal workforce.

The Unite for Veterans rally was a daylong event billed as a grassroots movement to activate veterans across the country to come together and oppose initiatives that include plans to lay off thousands of workers at the Department of Veterans Affairs in the summer.
