A homicide investigation is underway, and one person has been taken into custody, after police found one person dead in a Quincy apartment.

Police are conducting a homicide investigation in Quincy after a woman was killed at an apartment complex, according to officials.

Thomas Perkins from Quincy is charged with attempting to murder another man on Route 128 following an argument. He faces multiple charges and is held without bail.

In March, Quincy's head of public health Marli Caslli was arrested, charged with speeding and drunk driving. He pleaded not guilty. A bench trial is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2026. Caslli was not suspended or disciplined by the city following his arrest.
