A man has been arrested in connection with damage caused to Donald Trump's Turnberry Golf Resort in protest at the US president's comments on the future of Gaza. Red paint was spattered across one of the buildings at the Ayrshire course on Saturday.

On the night between Friday and Saturday last, a group of pro-Palestine activists from Palestine Action vandalized the Trump Turnberry resort, attacking both the buildings and the Ailsa Course. The group then posted photos of the action on various Instagram profiles.

The renowned golf course and clubhouse at Scotland’s Turnberry Golf Club, home to four Open Championships, were severely vandalized on Friday night and a Palestinian group that claimed responsibility. The resort has been owned by President Donald Trump since 2014.
