A partial solar eclipse will become visible March 29 to several states in the northeast U.S. Here's what to know, including time, how to watch it safety.

1. Not a total eclipse: Last year, parts of the country saw totality as the moon completely blocked out the sun. The closest to totality in the United States will be in Maine where they are expecting a 60% eclipse. Even better, parts of Quebec are expecting an 90% eclipse. Hartford should see a 36% eclipse.
