President Donald Trump has presented the Purple Heart medal during his State of the Union Address and honored two National Guard members who were shot while patrolling in Washington last year.
The president announced medals for the U.S. men’s hockey team’s star goalie as well as several military veterans.
"Tonight, at 100 years old, this brave Navy captain is finally getting the recognition he deserves," Trump said, prompting a standing ovation.
