Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris admitted after Sunday’s overtime loss to the Washington Commanders that it might have been wise to use a timeout on the team’s final drive of regulation. Atlanta opened a potentially game-winning drive with 40 seconds remaining in regulation with the game tied at 24.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris said he "probably could have" utilized his timeouts better in critical sequences of an overtime loss to the Commanders.

The Atlanta Falcons suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday evening. After tying up the game on a Michael Penix Jr. touchdown pass to Kyle Pitts, the Falcons defense got a quick stop and the offense had a chance to win the game in regulation.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris said calling a timeout on a key first-down catch late in the fourth quarter on Sunday "could have" been a better decision than running a hurry-up play, which eventually led to a missed field goal in a loss to the Commanders.
