Missouri regulators have awarded the state’s two untethered mobile sports betting licenses to DraftKings and Circa Sports, positioning the operators to launch in one of the last major U.S. markets still closed to online wagering.

Circa Sports runs sports betting in Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Colorado and Nevada, through its app and locations in casinos. The company is known for its high-dollar NFL gambling competitions. They cost $1,000 to enter for the whole season and have guaranteed payouts up to $15 million.

Many of the top sportsbooks have been applying for untethered licenses in the state of Missouri ahead of legal sports betting launching later this year, and we now know who those two operators will be.
