The Commanders are everything the Patriots want to be right now, a 4-13 team that morphed into a 12-5 team overnight. Quarterback Jayden Daniels, who came from the same draft class as Drake Maye, stepped under center and had immediate success in the NFL.

On the 12th day of training camp, Patriots players will finally get to hit someone other than teammates when the Washington Commanders come to town for a joint practice.

The Patriots’ first joint practice and 12th training camp session overall will take place on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium again. As are most other sessions, it is open to the general public at no cost.
