Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla had high praise for his star forward duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown after the Celtics' Game 5 win over the Orlando Magic to advance from the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference first round series to the East Semis on Tuesday (April 29) night.

Tatum is a six-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA First Team selection, and played a key role in leading the Celtics to the 2024 NBA Championship. This season, he averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists across 72 games, helping Boston secure the No. 2 seed in the East.

Jayson Tatum missed his first career playoff game on Wednesday night in the Celtics’ 109-100 Game 2 win against the Magic. His return to the floor remains an open question after he suffered a bone bruise in his right wrist after a hard fall in Game 1.
