People are encouraged to travel at slower speeds if they have to go on the road. Drivers are also encouraged to leave space between vehicles and use extra caution. Roads across the Mid-South will soon be covered in snow. Transportation officials in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi all urged drivers to stay at home unless travel is absolutely necessary. FOX13 is committed to keeping an eye on our roads.

So far, people have seen anywhere from four to six inches of snow across the Memphis area. The area is expected to receive 6-8 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service Memphis. Here is how roads in Memphis are looking midday Friday.
