A recall effort is underway after bread with an undeclared allergen was sold at Kroger and Walmart stores, including in Illinois and Indiana.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WKRC) — A company recalled bread that was sold in 12 states, including Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. According to the United States Food & Drug Administration ( FDA ), Hartford Bakery, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of six lots of its "Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Loaf" due to the presence of undeclared hazelnuts.

Hundreds of loaves of bread have been voluntarily recalled that was distributed to Kroger and Walmart in 12 states.

At least one person has died and 134 have been infected from an outbreak of salmonella linked to a recall of more than 20 million eggs.
