Mercury's Satou Sabally (ankle) to miss WNBA All-Star Game, will still take part in CBA negotiations
Phoenix Mercury standout Satou Sabally will be unable to participate in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. On Wednesday night, Sabally announced via Instagram that a lingering injury will keep her out of the game.
Sabally is scorer, and in 2023, she had a massive game. In a game against the Indiana Fever, Sabally scored a career-high 40 points. She was playing for the Dallas Wings at that time, and the Wings won 110-100. They also secured a playoff spot with their win.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark shared ahead of the All-Star Game that the players successfully sent a "powerful" message to league representatives. "That’s one of the things we're in the room fighting for," Clark said. "We should be paid more, and hopefully that’s the case moving forward as the league continues to grow.
