The Center for Oral History at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa has been working on sharing the stories of Lahainaluna High School's boarding students since 2022, and they're now available to the public.⁠ ⁠ Ty Kāwika Tengan, a professor at the UH Mānoa College of Social Sciences, and graduate research assistant Wailana Medeiros helped put the oral history project together.⁠ ⁠ It's tied to a sense of place, but it's also tied to more recent events.
