Just 30 minutes after entering the world, this six-foot-tall baby giraffe is already finding her footing. Brevard Zoo welcomes Gail, a 119-pound female Masai giraffe calf born to mom Kumi and dad Mapenzi in Melbourne, Florida. Footage captures her birth and her wobbly first steps as she stands by 9:32 a.m. The zoo says Gail's arrival is especially meaningful for the endangered Masai giraffe subspecies, which faces threats including habitat loss, poaching and disease in the wild.
