There is more than meets the eye on the Sun. 👀 In visible light (left), which the human eye can see, the Sun’s surface is freckled with dark splotches known as sunspots. 🌞 Sun activity for November 21, 2023: It’s a potpourri of sunspots 😱 🥳 Today’s top news: Yesterday started with three active regions (sunspot groups), then bang, there were nine. Wow, that is crazy. 😎 This partially came about because new regions emerged on the disk.
