Who was Deepa Mehta? Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar’s first wife and renowned costume designer who passed away at 60
Mahesh Manjrekar, a renowned actor and filmmaker, was married first to Deepa Mehta, a costume designer. They had two children, Ashwami and Satya. After divorcing in 1995, Deepa launched the successful Queen of Hearts saree brand. She passed away on September 27, 2025, with Satya sharing a heartfelt tribute.
