This was a cool interaction. The coyote was actually hunting bison calves but every time he showed an interest in the calves the bison chased him so he pretended to be hunting ground squirrels - using it as an excuse to get closer to the bison. He never actually chased a ground squirrel but did get close to bison calves several times (unfortunately blocked by sage brush so I wasn’t able to capture that interaction). #Photography #wildlife #nature #wyoming #goodbull #coyote #yellowstone #bison #b
