Warm winter, drought could lead to busy wildfire season: B.C. Wildfire Service

The BC Wildfire Service is preparing to conduct a larger-scale planned ignition on the Doctor Creek (N21257) wildfire to help support crews gain containment on the southeast perimeter of the fire. The ignition will begin today (Sept. 4, 2020), as early as 12 p.m. Mountain Time (MT) and will tie into the smaller-scale ignition that was successfully completed yesterday afternoon (Sept. 3, 2020).
